We love big Sisters

So, just a funny story for your entertainment. This is Cade's life with an older sister. Today he was so thirsty and kept on asking for more water. I asked him if he was a fish, which I thought he would reply yes to, but he looked up at me and said, "No mom, no fish. I am a mermaid." I guess we have watched Little Mermaid one too many times at our house. What little boy would rather be a MERMAID than a fish. Just when we think he is all boy. Poor kid. We are hoping that in the near future Isaac will be old enough to have a say in the games we play, for now Cade does what his amazing older sister wants him too.

The Twin Falls Temple

The Twin Falls temple is currently having it's open house, and we were able to attend last weekend. It was amazing. The Temple is so beautiful and it was fun to take the kids. Big kudos go out to Adam and Abbi for inviting us to come along.

We Love the Water!!

No matter what, my kids seem to love the water. Here at our house we like to put the swing set slide into the swimming pool and slide in the water. Ashlie thought of that one herself. She thought she was pretty clever.

We just went to Twin Falls this last weekend and Ashlie and Cade LOVED the giant sized slip and slide made out of an old billboard sign. They both couldn't get enough. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma, and Uncle Jim for the amazing slip in slide and all the fun. P.S. sorry the video is sideways, but I couldn't figure out how to change it. If you just turn your head to the side a bit, it looks normal.

Run in with the Peanut Butter Jar

Today Cade had a major run in with the peanut butter jar, and the peanut butter jar won. I am not sure what happened, but from what I can gather he was running and fell and hit his lip on the lid of the peanut butter he was carrying. Boy does he have big lips now. The picture doesn't even do it justice. I think he is definitely in the war wound stage of childhood. If it is not one thing it is another.

Family Reunion Fun

We just spent the last week in Utah at a family reunion for my side of the family. We stayed with the Kawa's and had oh, so much fun staying up late playing games. The rest of the reunion was also fun. We went swimming, ate, ate and ate, and played, played, and played. The pictures show Ashlie at the donut on a string game with her cousin Halle. We had lots of fun spending time with family and we all were very sad to leave. Ashlie even got to have a slumber party with all the little girls. Kudos to Melanie and taking on 6 more girls. Ashlie had a blast, and I don't think she missed her parents one bit.

The Scooter

So Isaac is bound and determined to be mobile before I am ready for him to be. He is not a roller, but rather likes to scoot around the house. The other night we were organizing the garage after the kids went to bed. I came in to find the living room where I had left Isaac empty. I did start to panic a little, but soon discovered he had managed to scoot in between the wall and couch and had gotten stuck, so he had decided to fall asleep. Crazy little kid. Watch out world here Isaac comes.

Fourth of July

We had a great fourth of July. That morning we went to a parade, where the kids loaded up on the candy. I don't remember getting such a stash when I was a kid. Anyway, afterwards we went to Aunt Carolyn's and they got
to have pony rides.
They both loved it.
We ended the
night with a BBQ at a friends house and fireworks. The kids could
have done
without the fireworks. Ashlie and Cade were both terrified of the noise. Isaac for one liked the different colors of the fireworks and didn't seem the least bit phased by the loud noise.
