Lots of Days of Halloween

Day 25
We tried on our Halloween Costumes. I bet you can't wait to see what they look like, but you will have to. The anticipation is going to kill you, I am sure.
Day 24
We read Halloween books.
Day 23
We were at my sister Sara's house. We played Halloween Bingo with the cousins, and had a cookie caterpillar. It was yummy.(I wish I had taken a picture, but I didn't. It was in the Pillsbury Halloween magazine, so you might be able to find it online).
Day 22
Traveled to Utah, and the kids colored in their new Halloween coloring books.
Day 21
Went to the pumpkin patch and found pumpkins.
We got rained on, but still had a lot of fun.
Day 20
A good friend came over for lunch. We had Halloween shaped macaroni and cheese, we colored pumpkin pictures, played a Halloween game, and decorated cupcakes.
Day19
We made place mats for the upcoming Spooky Lunch. We had to postpone it because of people being sick, but it is this coming Tuesday. We can't wait.

I also finished my pumpkins and autumn sign
Day 18
Skeleton fingers, and we made invitations for our Spooky Halloween Lunch which will be on Tuesday

Day 11
Witches Stew in a Witches Cauldron
Really it is just homemade chicken noodle soup in a witches cauldron.
Day 12
Check out our monster mash video below. We also made monster cookies. (Yummy peanut butter, oats, m & m's, and chocolate chips, who could ask for more in a cookie?) We made cookies with Halloween music playing in the background. You should see the kids groove to Thriller. Even Isaac got into it.

Day 9 & 10 of 31 Days of Halloween

Day 10
PUMPKINS

Not so much an activity with the kids, but today I made stuffed pumpkins. I got the idea at one of my favorite blogs, found here. I am going to put them on top of my TV stand with autumn garland and wood blocks that spell out Autumn. When I get it done, I will try and post a picture of the finished product.

Day 9

Coloring Halloween pictures
We went a little low key today and printed off Halloween pictures to color.

Day 8 of 31 Days of Halloween

Monster Friends
We made Ashlie and Cade stuffed monsters. They got to choose which material they wanted, ribbons, eyes etc. I sewed; they stuffed, and in the end they ended up with little monster friends. Yes, Ashlie's is wearing a tutu. She had to make her monster pretty, not scary. Isaac was asleep during this activity, and I didn't make him one, but he had to be in the picture.

Day 7

Spooky Skeleton Parts
To make these spooky skeleton parts I started with bread stick dough. I made my own, but you can also use the refrigerated kind too. Roll the bread stick so it is about 12" long and loosely tie each end in a knot. Bake. When they come out of the oven spread with butter and garlic salt. If you made your own dough you could also use food coloring to dye the dough green and then call them moldy skeleton parts.

Orange Jack'o Lanterns

Day 5 of 31 Days of Halloween

Skull Cupcakes
To make these spooky cakes I just made regular cupcakes. At the bottom end I peeled a little of the cupcake liner and put half of a big marshmallow. Then you frost the whole thing, including the marshmallow. Add junior mints for the eyes, chocolate chip for the nose, and almonds for the teeth. I apologize for the bad picture, my camera is getting old and is not taking quality pictures lately.

Day 4 of 31 Days of Halloween

Mummy Treat Cups
We covered a plastic cup with material, and then added eyes, jewelry (in Ashlie's case), and a tie or bow. The kids had a fun time making these, and now they have a fun cup to eat treats out of until Halloween is over. I did put an extra plastic cup inside the mummy cup so I could lift that out and clean it and they could use the cups over again.
