Last Wednesday Ashlie went to her first day of Kindergarten at Birch Elementary. She loved everything about it. She gets to go all day, but only on Wed, Fri, and every other Mon. It is a hard schedule for all of us, but we will have to make it work. When you ask her about her teacher she tells you her name is Mrs. Gray and that she has gray hair. She is a nice teacher and I am sure Ashlie will learn a lot at school this year. She was so excited about school she couldn't stop talking about it. It is a little sad and hard to believe that our little Ashlie is already starting school. We miss her, especially Cade, who doesn't quite know what to do without her. Mom isn't as fun as his older sister. The last picture is a picture of her first-day-of-school after school treat. We did cold stone type ice cream sundaes, with lots of toppings. The kids loved it.

Happy Anniversary and Breakfast in Bed
Yesterday Dan and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. This morning we woke up to Ashlie bringing us breakfast in bed. She had gotten up early, figured out how to make toast, complete with butter and jam, and she washed us apples. She had everything on a cookie sheet, along with a vase (a tupperware) full of flowers (a collection of fake flowers including flower clips for her hair). Last night when we were out the babysitter helped them all make cards for us and Ashlie figured out her whole plan. She was so excited to do it that the babysitter said she was having a hard time sleeping. I think she must have thought she wasn't going to wake up in time and we would be up before her. Lucky for her we had a late night out, and she was the first one up.

Our Exciting Visitors!!
We don't get visitors too often at our house, so when we do it is a party!! We were lucky enough to have Adam and Abbi and family come and visit us this last weekend. It was so much fun spending time with them, to watch Cade follow Ben around where ever he went, and to watch the little girls take care of their babies (you will notice in the movie picture they are holding them). They got here on Friday night. On Saturday we took them to art in the park. The kids (with a lot of help from their dads) got to do crafts. They even got to go inside an old train.
That night we had our very own movie theater and watched "Horton Hears a Who" projected onto the wall. Each kid had there very own bag of popcorn and M&M's.
Sunday was spent relaxing, and a trip to Aunt Jenny's icecream parlor.
We had to say goodbye on Monday afternoon, which was sad for all. Thanks for a wonderful weekend Adam and Abbi and family, we had so much fun.
