Valentines Day Box

When I was a kid I never remember making some fancy box to put all my Valentines in, so when Ashlie came home with a note saying the first grade was having a contest for the best box, I was a little scared. Good thing she has the dad she does, and after many ideas including a blooming flower and Cinderella's carriage (still not sure how he was going to do that) this is what they came up with. Dan was the mastermind, Ashlie painted and cut out hearts and I simply assisted where I was needed. They ended up not judging the boxes and awarding a winner because there was simply too many good ones to choose from; but she loved her box and that is all that counts. She loved the idea and that it came complete with a working drawbridge.

Dan the Man!!

Dan the main man in our house celebrated his "__" birthday. (He doesn't like to think about how young he is getting). I am a little late posting since his birthday was last week, but better late than never. Unfortunately he had to go to work, watch the kids while I went to the doctor, and he even had to work late. He did get an awesome birthday sign made especially for him by the kids, and he had eclair cake for dessert. Happy Birthday Dan/Dad. We all love you.
