Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday. We decided that it was a good excuse for a party. We got a great idea from my sister Sara to make Dr. Seuss hats, so we did. I think there are things I would change for next year (for example, I would make sure to have plain paper plates, but the flowers add something to it doesn't it?). The kids had fun making them, Ashlie even had to draw the cat in the hat on her hat, and a football, basketball, and baseball on Cade's. Isaac was a party pooper and wouldn't even wear the hat for long enough to get a real good picture, but I did my best. Tonight for FHE we are going to watch "Horton Hears a Who" of course in our house you can't do that without treats, so there will of course be treats, and for dinner a pizza party. Hooray for Dr. Seuss' birthday.

The hats turned out so cute! How fun to have a party also. We usually make hats but have never had a little party. I'll have to remember for next year. What a good idea to watch the movie too. You are a fun mom!
